     to go from a T12 and T8 bulb to the new energy efficient

A.  No, You simply by pass the existing ballast (the adapters
     have their own built in ballast), Clip the adapter into the
     existing bulb sockets and clip the new energy saving T5 bulbs

Q.  Do I have to hire someone to install the retrofit adapter?
A.  No, Any qualified maintenance personnel can install them

Q.  So how does it work? 
A.  The retrofit adapters simply plug in to the existing light
      fixture, transforming them electronically from
      conventional fittings to high frequency ballast fittings
      of correct type and size to accept high efficiently T5
      lamps.
    
      This enables you to get a light output equal or greater
      than your old tubes at dramatically lower energy
      consumption. In fact, with the reduced ballast losses
      and lower tube wattage, savings of 45-72% are common.

Q.   If I don't need to swap out my light fixture how do I save
      money?
A.   Our new high frequency ballast retrofit does not need a
      separate ballast. You will be reducing your wattage from
      T12 (40 watts + ballast wattage - usually a double ballast)
      or a T8 (32 watts + ballast wattage) down to 18 watts.
      Since the ballast is built in there is no other wattage increase.

Q.  How bright are the new T5 bulbs with adapters?
A.   An existing T8 (4) bulb fixture shows foot candles of 46.
      Using just 2 adapters and T5 bulbs the foot candles
      are 56!
